Students from Classes III-VIII competed in the Annual Athletic Meet of Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, Mohali, which was held at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh. Students in classes VII–VIII competed in track and field events that included the 100-m and 200-m sprints, 400-meter relay, long jump, and shot put.

Dr. Ginni Duggal, District Education Officer (Secondary Education), Mohali was the Chief Guest of the Annual Athletic Meet. Paragon Senior Secondary School’s President Kulwant Kaur Shergill; Chief Administrative Officer(CAO) Bawra Shergill; and Principal, Jasmeet Kaur were also present at the event.

Iqbal Shergill, Director, Paragon Senior Secondary School said, “Sports is a vital part of the education that we aim to impart at Paragon. In order to encourage students’ regarding physical exercise and a sense of teamwork, we commemorate the annual athletic meet. Our students’ eagerness to participate, compete, and succeed is something we are thrilled to see.”

The Annual Athletic Meet started with an oath-taking ceremony followed by the release of balloons. A Zumba performance with Balls and Dumbbells was the main attraction.

A day prior to the Annual Athletic Meet of Paragon Senior Secondary School the Annual Athletic Meet of Paragon Kids Play School, was held at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh. Students from Kindergarten till Class II participated. The Chief Guest was Prabhjot Singh, Former Indian Hockey Player and Olympian while the Guest of Honor was Sukhwinder Tinku Level II BCCI Coach, Former Indian Cricketer and Head Coach Paragon Cricket Academy.

The little ones wowed the crowd with their aerobics display. Children had a lot of fun competing in races and displaying their skills.

Nearly two thousand students of Paragon Senior Secondary School and Paragon Kids Play School located in Sec 71, Mohali , took part in the Annual Athletic Meet spread over two-days. Prizes were given for best students in different sports. What’s more, students attaining 100 percent attendance, best NCC Cadets, best NSS Volunteers, best orators, best bibliomaniacs, best vocalists, best instrumentalists, best dancers and more were also announced and felicitated.
