Regarding the steps taken by the Modi government at Centre under the AATAM NIRBHAR BHARAT abhiyan the President of BJP Chandigarh Arun Sood yesterday addressed the media persons at the party office. On this occasion general secretary Ramveer Bhatti, Spokespersons Shipra Bansal, Dhirendra Tayal, Naresh Arora, Kailash Chand Jain and Gaurav Goyal,District president Ravinder Pathania were also present.
Addressing the media, president Arun Sood told that AATAM NIRBHAR BHARAT is the vision of our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the aim is to make the country self-reliant in every field. On 12th May, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by allocating an amount of Rs.20,00,00,00,00,000 to the AATAM NIRBHAR BHARAT package which constitutes 10% of the GDP of the country, the people have been provided immense financial relief. Keeping in mind the long-term vision, the effects are today visible on the ground. Presenting the facts and figures in detail, Mr Arun Sood said that for the welfare of the small, medium and other businesses and amount of Rs.3,00,00,00,00,000 has been announced to be given as collateral free loan. He further told that by 1/7/2020, 30,00,00 units had been given more than Rs.1.10,00,00,00,00,000 the scheme. Moreover refund of Rs.50,00,00,000s has been created for the benefit of MSME. He further told that the limits defining the MSME units have also been increased upwards so that a larger number of units may fall within this category. Mr Arun Sood further told that in view of the corona virus in the country, the villages, the poor, the labourers and the farmers of the country have been given help to the extent of Rs.1.70 lakh rupees. The schemes huge amounts of money have already been disbursed by being deposited in the accounts of the account holders. More than eight crore gas cylinders have been disbursed to the consumers all over the country at subsidised rates.
The government under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana free ration to the 80 crore poor all over the country for the first three months and this period has now been extended up to Diwali-chatth puja . Now the poor shall get 5 kg of grains and 1 kg of chickpeas every month free of cost till the end of November. For this scheme the government will spend an extra amount of Rs.90,000 crore and if this amount is added to the money already spent, the total comes to Rs.1.5 lakh crore. Under the MNREGA scheme the government has announced to pay an extra amount of Rs.40,000 crore which is 66% more than what was allocated earlier.
Speaking on Gareeb Kalyan Rozgar Yojana, Mr Arun Sood said that the scheme has been started from 20th June and under the scheme the migrant workers in 116 districts shall be given help for 125 days and for this purpose rupees 50,000 crore worth of public works shall be carried out. Apart from this under the credit card debt scheme meant for the farmers, up to 30th June, with an upper limit of Rs.62, 870 crore, 70.32,00,00 farmers have been given credit card. The Modi government had also announced to provide an amount of Rs.30,000 crore as extra loan for crop requirement. Till 30th June under the special liquidity facility Rs.24, 586 crore has been disbursed to cooperative banks, RRB and MFI. This scheme benefit will reach three crore small and peripheral farmers. He further told that the Modi government has passed the necessary legislation for his vision of one nation one market and changes have also been made in agricultural marketing cause and the storage limit for agricultural produce has also been ended.
Moreover the farmers have been given permission to sell their crop in any state. This decision was taken in 3 June cabinet meeting itself. Cabinet also brought into force the farming produce trade and commerce (promotion and facilitation) ordinance 2020 under which long-term steps have been taken for bringing about a fundamental change in the area under cultivation and for increasing the income of the farmers. How farmers can sell their crop on competitive prices anywhere that they want. Farmers can also sell their produce on electronic platforms and no fee shall be charged on any such sale transaction taking place outside APMC markets. Further told that Modi government through agri-infrastructure fund is spending Rs.1,00,00,00,00,000 on 10,000 FPO like micro schemes in order to strengthen the agricultural ecosystem.
Speaking about the achievements of Modi government in infrastructure improvement and development, Mr Arun Sood said told that on 18th June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government started auction for 41 coal blocks in the private sector. The government expects to have an investment of Rs.33,000 crore through this option. In order to promote make in India, Modi government has made it mandatory for the e-commerce companies to provide details of the manufacturing country on each and every product.
He further told that the Modi government under the defence execution Council has given approval for proposals amounting to Rs.30 8900 crores and out of this acquisitions from Indian industry shall be made to the extent of Rs.31130 crore. Pinaka rocket launcher, BMP combats vehicle upgrade and software defined radio for the army has also been approved. DAC has approved the upgrade of 1500 BMP-2 combat vehicles for the army. Along with this Modi government approved improvements in the field of space on 24th June. Private sector will now be able to contribute to manufacturing of rockets and satellites and take an active part in the launch. Speaking on vocal for local he said that before announcing the fourth stage of lock down due to Corona virus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed on this in his message. During the lockdown, in order to strengthen the economy each and every citizen of the country will have to pledge for vocal for local. With this not only will there be improvement in the quality of products manufactured locally, making them profitable but shall make the country also self-reliant.
