St Anne’s Convent School, Sector 32 organized Bishop Gilbert .B. Rego Memorial, Inter-School I. T. Carnival in memory of late Bishop Gilbert .B. Rego who was true champion, good shepherd, vibrant pastor and a fatherly figure. His entire work and life had been dedicated and inspired by deep humanism. One of his landmark contributions was establishing our school, St. Anne’s Convent School. We owe him much and we acknowledge our indebtedness to him with great humility and gratitude.
The occasion was graced by Rev. Sr. Celine, Vice-Provincial UMI Congregation and former principal of our school Rev. Sr. Yvette. Twenty three schools from the tri-city participated in the Competition. The function started with a soulful introduction to our late Bishop Gilbert .B. Rego. The judgment for competitions were done by Dr. Lilu Ram, Associate Professor SCERT, Sector32, Chandigarh, Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, Associate professor S.D College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, Dr. Gurjeet Kaur, HOD I.T. Dept. S.D. College, Sector 32 Chandigarh and Dr. Gurjeet Singh, Fine Arts Dept, Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 32 Chandigarh, four eminent personalities in the field of Information technology. The competitions which the schools participated with great enthusiasm were MS-Paint, MS-Powerpoint, Web designing, Poster Making and Quiz.
