A Charitable clinic was inaugurated in memory of Late Bishop Gilbert Rego at Christ the King Cathedral, Sector 19 A, here by Rev. Dr. Ignatius Mascarenhas, the Bishop of Simla Chandigarh Diocese on Monday.
Doctors Sanjeev Batia, Swathi, Sumit, priests, sisters and workers were present.
In his inaugural address, Bishop Ignatius mentioned that Bishop Gilbert Rego always had soft corner for the poor and needy and found out ways and means to help them. Being the centenary year of his birth it is appropriate to open this clinic to carry out the mission he had for the poor.
Bishop Ignatius further stated that this is a charitable clinic and open for all from Sunday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.
