Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh under the leadership of State President Sh. Sanjay Tandon organised a meet of In-charges of all its Shakti Kendras at party office ‘Kamlam’. Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar participated as the key speaker in the meet. MP Kirron Kher and other senior leaders were also present.
Addressing the meet Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar asked the BJP volunteers to work with sole motive to win 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He said that the Booth Samitis and Shakti Kendras must work together to apprise citizens about welfare schemes of our government. He said that previous governments at the centre have never thought of about the works done by the present BJP government for the welfare of common people.
State President Sh. Sanjay Tandon in his presidential address said our party will win 2019 elections riding on the achievements of our government. He vowed to organise workers for Mission 2019 through the Booth & Shakti Kendra level programs. He appealed all the energetic volunteers to participate in the Booth, Shakti Kendra, Mandal, District and State-level programs to be organised in the coming days.
Smt. Kirron Kher asked party workers to meet and inform people about the numerous works executed in the city during her tenure. She said sometimes people remain unaware of the works because of this communication gap.
State Organisational General Secretary Dinesh Kumar asked all the party workers to daily contribute their time for effective execution of party’s organisational programs as not much time is left for the elections.
While addressing the meet, the newly elected Mayor Rajesh Kalia said that he has ended the Chit-system to meet the Mayor and now any citizen of Chandigarh could meet the ‘Nagar Sewak’ anytime and discuss his issues. He said his focus is on solving problems of city residents rather than attending the felicitation programs.
State General Secretary Chander Shekhar asked all the workers to build election related Booth Samitis and to timely take stock of its preparations.
Former Mayor and Councillor Arun Sood said that the In-charges of the Shakti Kendras are our real election campaigners and will ensure victory of BJP by directly connecting with people living in their areas.
Party’s State Office bearers, District Presidents, General Secretaries, Mandal Presidents, Shakti Kendra Presidents, Morcha Presidents and Cell Conveners attended the meet.
