A Blood Donation Camp was organized at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 Chandigarh by ‘Ehsaas’ Red Ribbon Club and NSS wing of the College in collaboration with Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32 Chandigarh.
S Gurdev Singh Brar, President Sikh Educational Society along with Er Kulbir Singh, Vice President and Col (Retd.) Jasmer Singh Bala, Secretary SES inaugurated the camp. Ms. Harpreet Kaur, Officiating Principal appreciated the selfless service that volunteers and students rendered to humanity.
A team of doctors headed by Dr Ajay Singh from GMCH, Sector 32 conducted the camp. Students as well as staff members turned out in great numbers for this noble cause. Total blood units donated were 80. Mr Satish Kumar, an employee of the College donated blood for the 18th time whereas Ms. Sukhminder Kaur, from the non-teaching staff, donated for the 15th time.
