To meet the shortage of blood in Tricity hospitals due to Dengue, Vishvas Foundation and Shiv Karthik Restaurant together organized a blood donation camp at Zirakpur on Ambala Chandigarh Road outside Metro today. Indian Red Cross Society District Branch Mohali played an important role in the camp. During this, special care was taken to protect against Covid-19 such as social distancing, masks and sanitization. 80 blood donors donated their blood voluntarily.

Sadhvi Neelima Vishvas, general secretary of Vishvas Foundation, said that in the camp, the team of Blood Bank AM Care Hospital Blood Center VIP Road Zirakpur collected blood under the supervision of Dr Kartik Agarwal. She explained that donating blood by people is believed to improve heart health, reduce the risk of heart diseases and stroke. Excess amount of iron in the blood can increase the risk of heart attack, by donating blood regularly the excess amount of iron is controlled. Which is good for heart health.

Many times, the amount of blood in the body of patients becomes so low that they need to take blood from someone else. In such an emergency situation, people should come forward to donate blood for the supply of blood. This will help the needy.

At the end of the camp, all the blood donors were felicitated with appreciation letters, soaps, mementos and gifts. On this occasion from Vishwas Foundation Rishi Shashvat Vishvas, Sandeep Parmar, Brij Mahajan, Vishal Kunwar, Shatrughan Kumar and doctors of Blood Bank were also present.
