DIVYA AZAD

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath today said here that the Congress has become too weak to contest even 400 Lok Sabha seats in the country. He said Chandigarh is a stark example of it as we see that it can’t even fight single handedly in the city. It needs to lean on the shoulders of a peripheral party like AAP to make a contest in Chandigarh. It demonstrates the depleting strength of the Congress party which has spelt devastation for the country.

Yogi said that the local congress candidate who is largely banking on the AAP has no vision of development of Chandigarh.

The opposition is helpless because of PM Modi’s transformative vision which has shown a new light to the ‘city-beautiful’.

CM Yogi came to the city to canvas for BJP Chandigarh candidate Sanjay Tandon on Monday.

Addressing the public rally in Maloya, Yogi Adityanath said, “Pure Desh Mein Ek hi Mahaul Ban Raha Hai, Jo Ram Ko Laye Hain Hum Unko Layenge ‘There is only one atmosphere being created across the nation – Those who have brought Lord Ram, we will bring them to power’.” Yogi Adityanath addressed thousands and the gathering included a huge number of Purvanchalis settled in Chandigarh.

Tandon added that it was the BJP government that organised travel to Ayodhya for Ram Lala’s Darshan for many people from Chandigarh and across the nation, who couldn’t afford the same.

Yogi said people across the nation have made their decision to bring Modi ji to power for the third consecutive time. Criticizing the unholy alliance of ‘Cong-AAP’ in Chandigarh, Yogi remarked that this alliance aims to fool the public by contesting together in the city. He described Congress as a self-serving party that first divided the nation, then society, and now aims to seize property.

Tandon addressing the issues related to property transfers for EWS houses and four-storied houses said, “I assure you that the BJP government is committed to transferring ownership to rightful owners. I will resolve longstanding issues such as Lal Dora and Chandigarh Housing Board matters on the line of Delhi BJP’s One-Time Settlement (OTS) pattern.”

Yogi said that from day one, Congress was against the construction of Ram Mandir. They used to intimidate the administration that if the construction of Ram Mandir was announced there would be violence and bloodshed. But under BJP not a single act of violence occurred. We successfully constructed the magnificent temple of Lord Ram Lala, and the consecration ceremony took place after the long struggle of 500 years.

Yogi praised Tandon’s social service during COVID-19 in which he provided free ration, oxygen cylinders, and medical aid to the city people. He asked the public if they had seen Tewari during this COVID period? Yogi further said about the Congress candidate, “Those who could not stand with you in difficult times, who could not respect your faith and protect your heritage, who don’t have a vision for development, who can’t work for the welfare of poor people , such a candidate should be rejected as if such a person is given a vote, the voter will be part of a sin.”

Yogi praised PM Modi’s numerous initiatives and redefined India’s image as a powerful nation globally. Now no one has the courage to attack India as a new India under Modi will give a befitting reply, said Yogi.

BJP’s Ravi Kant Sharma, Ravi Rawat, Amit Jindal, Ranvir Bhatti, Kiran Kher, Hukkam Chand, Shashi Shankar Tiwari, Anil Dubey, Shakti Devshali, Ramvir Bhatti, Davinder Baba, Kanhaiya Mittal, Dalip Sharma, Pradeep Bansal, Poonam Sharma, Kuldeep, Subhashini Chawla were present at the rally.

Senior political leader Venod Sharma joins BJP

The BJP candidate for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, Sanjay Tandon, received a significant boost as Venod Sharma, the President of the Haryana Janchetna Party, joined the BJP at a rally addressed by UP CM Yogi Adityanath in Maloya today.

Notably, Sharma’s decision to join the BJP would strengthen Tandon’s position, leveraging Sharma’s considerable support base in Chandigarh and the Haryana region. He has held various positions in both the Government of India and the Haryana Government. He served as a Cabinet minister in P.V. Narasimha Rao’s government and was a Member of Parliament from the Rajya Sabha.

Sharma also held several roles within the Congress party and won the 2005 and 2009 Haryana Legislative Assembly elections from Ambala city

Tandon receives another boost

Vikram Dhawan, son of the late Harmohan Dhawan, has joined the BJP family at UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s rally. It is worth noting that Harmohan Dhawan was a distinguished political leader of Chandigarh, elected to the Lok Sabha from Chandigarh in 1989 on a Janata Party ticket. Dhawan later served as the Union Civil Aviation Minister in Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar’s cabinet.
