Decathlon Zirakpur unveils flagship store: a sporting paradise in the tricity

It was an important day for Tricity’s sports enthusiasts as Decathlon, the world’s largest retailer of sports goods, unveiled their new flagship shop in Zirakpur at a grand inauguration. With a wide range of thrilling features and product options that will appeal to all age groups and interests, this exceptional store is all about revolutionizing the sporting retail experience.

The new Decathlon Zirakpur flagship store is twice as big as the old one, with a stunning 3300 square meters of store space. What sets this store apart is the inclusion of an expansive 300-square-meter indoor playground with multi-sports turf, a one-of-a-kind feature in the region. 

One of the biggest and most distinctive sports retailers in India, the store offers a variety of innovative new elements, including the French-inspired “Mountain Village” concept. With over 60 sports and an enormous collection of 6000+ goods, Decathlon provides a wide choice of sports goods and activities.

Decathlon offered a bumper deal to its loyal customers to celebrate the grand opening of the store. Every two hours, shoppers received rewards totaling INR 50,000. Additionally, there were special deals for everyone, including discounts of INR 600 on purchases of INR 6000 and INR 800 on purchases of INR 8000.

The store hosted various sporting and gaming activities where visitors participated and competed for thrilling prizes, including badminton, basketball, football, cricket, and skating competitions.

Mohit Sharma, Store Manager, Decathlon Sports India Private Limited, expressed his vision for the new flagship store, saying, “At the heart of Decathlon is our support to sporting communities both large and small in every community where we operate. However, our support goes beyond only making sport available through our venues and events. We also want to change the lives of young people who are passionate about a particular sport and wish to pursue it as a career.”
