Delhi FC played their I league second division game against Techtro Swades United at the Minerva Academy Ground on Saturday, April 15.
Delhi FC put out a strong starting 11, with Vicky between the sticks and Balwant Singh captaining the side. Delhi had several other promising talents in their side, such as Radhakanta, Kartik, etc.
Delhi FC looked to get on the front foot right from the off, and they were successful in doing so as they kept possession and moved it around the pitch nicely.
It didn’t take very long for them to open the scoring, as Hriatzuala found the back of the net in the 11th minute of the game.
Just a few minutes later, veteran striker Bali Gagandeep made it 2-0 to Delhi after another stunning move.
Techtro, who had won the reverse fixture, made a comeback into the game as they pulled one back, making it 2-1 through Priyanshu.
However, Delhi FC’s captain restored their two-goal lead just before halftime. Balwant Singh finished superbly to make it 3-1.
The points were almost certainly in the bag, and Bhupinder added the icing on the cake with a fourth goal in the 70th minute.
An excellent game of football came to an end with Delhi FC getting the three points against a formidable Techtro Swades United.
