Global Middas Capital (GMC) in association with Global Middas Foundation (GMF) is all set to release it’s documentary ‘Kanpur Files’ on 26th November 2023. The documentary is based on Real Life Events of 127 Sikhs, who were Massacred in Kanpur, Utter Pradesh (UP) in 1984.
Global Middas Foundation’s (GMF) Production house Global Middas Capital (GMC) is Releasing the Documentary titled “The Kanpur Files“ on Sunday, 26th November 2023. Giving details of the documentary, Producer S. Inder Preet Singh told that the One hours 25 minutes documentary was Based on Real Life Events of 127 Sikhs who were brutally killed in Kanpur, UP in 1984 following the assassination of the then Prime Minister of India, Smt. Indira Gandhi. The preplanned & coordinated mass killings, looting and violent incidents against Sikhs in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district during 1984 would be shown worldwide with Facts, Evidences, Legal trail, Hurdles in Investigation, the problems & threats being faced by witnesses and victims in this documentary. The Documentary would be Released on the GMF & SADDA KHIRDA PUNJAB YouTube channel. Sardar Inder Preet Singh further added that this incident was very unfortunate but it is a matter of regret that even after so many years of the incident, no action has been taken against the culprits, the mastermind behind this massacre & the main accused is still absconding who has been exposed in this Documentary. This is the very first time that the entire journey of 39 years since 1984 till now has been covered in such detail.
S. Inder Preet Singh said that this Documentary would provide a strong base to those fighting for democratic rights, civil liberties and human rights, to take up the case in the United Nations (UN) for justice for the victims of 1984 Sikh Genocide. He told that the documentary covers bytes, documents & the entire painful struggle journey till date which the victims, the witnesses & S. Kuldip Singh Bhogal, President of the All India Riot Victims Relief Committee, 1984, and Advocate Prasoon Kumar & Gurbaksh Singh, Supreme Court lawyers, have gone through to get justice for 127 Sikhs killed in Kanpur.
Earlier, Global Middas Capital (GMC) had released on GMF YouTube channel a 3-hours detailed documentary produced in association with Global Middas Foundation (GMF) on 30 October 2022, titled “1984 – Genocide of Sikhs, Crime Against Humanity”. The documentary includes interviews with victims of the 1984 Delhi riots and their family members, lawyers and social activists through which an attempt has been made to understand the events that took place between 31st October 1984 to 7 November 1984 in Delhi, Kanpur and Bokaro. Also, it shows the rehabilitation of the witness & victims besides showing where they stand today after 38 years since the 1984 Genocide.
