Students from the various undergraduate and postgraduate departments of DAV College, Chandigarh made an educational visit to the department of forensic and Criminology at Panjab University, Chandigarh. The aim of the educational visit was to make students aware of the latest developments and basic concepts of the forensic science and its relevance in the current society. Ninety five students from the graduate and postgraduate department of DAV College, along with the teachers, Dr. Kshama Sharma, and Dr.Jyotsna Rekhie, from department of Chemistry, and Dr. Yogyata Pathania and Dr. Karan Singh Vinayak, from department of Physics, visited the forensic and criminology department of Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Dr. Vishal Sharma, Chairperson, department of Forensic and Criminology, Panjab University, delivered a very interesting lecture to the students and made them aware of the many future careers opportunities available for the students in the field of forensic science. The students were divided into 4 groups where they were briefed about the different working procedures such as voice tracking and finger-print mapping etc. of the forensic science by the teachers and research scholars. Overall, this educational visit was a great learning experience for the students who got an overview about the very basic functions as well as higher educational and careers opportunities available in this domain.
