All fathers must be role models for their children, said Vivek Atray, motivational speaker, author and former IAS. He was speaking as a Chief Guest at a Father’s Day event at Senior Citizens Home in Sector 43 here today organised by Zorgers, a renowned name in the home healthcare industry. All elderly besides other invitees came together to be a part of celebrations.
Vivek Atray talked on the Role of a father in growth journey of child. While speaking on the occasion Atray said, “Father’s Day is a significant landmark in the annual calendar. All families should get together and celebrate such occasions with fervour. As the father of two girls who doted on me I must say that Father’s Day is a truly special day. Fathers must be role models for their children.”
Varun Gupta, Founder & Director, Zorgers, said, “I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father’s protection. It was a great personal loss for me to lose dad at the age of 11.For me, my mother has been real dad all my life. I personally dedicate this day to her and seek the blessings of my beloved father and all the elderly those we have been serving for last 5 years of our journey in building this organization. I salute all fathers who are a guide, a friend, an influencer, and a superhero.”
He added the day was also dedicated to many fathers, who for some reason have been staying apart or been unable to spend time with their children, the most valuable gift you can give is your time and companionship.

Dr. Amandeep Kaur, parenting counsellor was the Keynote Speaker, who engaged in live counselling for parents. There were fun activities involving team engagement and a ‘Best Father Child Duo’ award was also given away.
