Recognising the contribution of mothers in bringing up children, Paras Bliss Hospital, in Swastik Vihar, MDC here organised a Baby Shower fun event for the expecting mothers on the occasion of Mothers’ Day.
The event included a session on breathing techniques during pregnancy, dietetics and nutrition during pregnancy and care for new borns for mothers to be. Apart from expert sessions the event had fun games, quizzes etc.
The event took off with an interesting game on measuring your baby bump, while expecting mothers were also given lessons on healthy diet which needs to be followed during pregnancy. A jumble words game Baby Babble was also kept on the occasion, with guests racing to see who can unscramble the baby and pregnancy related words first.
Dr. Divya Mishra, Junior Consultant, Paediatrics, Paras Hospital, spoke on how mothers should take care of the new born. There were games for the mothers to apprise them on baby related issues, followed by a session on antenatal exercises by Dr. Meenu Verma, Senior Physiotherapist who taught breathing techniques during pregnancy.
Dr S K Gambhir, Senior Consultant Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Paras Bliss Hospital said the purpose of organising this activity was to help mothers and would be mothers to lead a healthy life. Dr Shilva, Senior Consultant Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Paras Bliss Hospital said, motherscontribute immensely to society and through fun and games the event went a long way in helping expecting mothers to understand about pregnancy in an interesting manner. Dr Monica Agarwal, Consultant Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Paras Bliss Hospital, also interacted with around 30 odd expecting mothers who attended the event.
