The G D Goenka Toddler House, Zirakpur celebrated its first Annual Day programme at the Bal Bhawan, Sector 23 here today. Chief guest of the progamme was Mr N K Sharma, MLA, Dera Bassi, while the guests of honour were: Mrs Neelam, Director – Academics, G D Goenka Toddler House and Mr Davesh Moudgill, former Mayor of Chandigarh.
The theme of the function was ‘Smile costs nothing’. The function started with the lamp lighting ceremony and felicitation of the chief guest and guests of honour. Chairman of the school, Mr Anikt Kumar welcomed everyone.
Ms Samridhi, Director of the Zirakpur branch, said, “It is a great occasion for the GD Goenka Toddler House family, when we are celebrating our first foundation day. I am confident of more such celebrations in the days to come.”
A cultural programme was the main attraction of the event. It included a welcome song, bhangra dance and two acts as ‘Wheels on the bus’ and the ‘Life cycle of a butterfly’. The event came to conclusion with prize distribution and vote of thanks by the director.
