Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Singh Brar appreciated the efforts of Joshi Foundation and Heart Foundation for helping the needy by providing them food in this hour of crisis. Brar said, when the administration and government are working day and night to control Corona pandemic, the help from NGOs like Joshi Foundation and Heart Foundation is commendable. “I am happy that both NGOs are not only providing food packets to the needy persons, but also organises medical camps to help deprived section of the society. I hope, they will continue this noble work, so that such institutions can live as a live example of nobility for others,” said Brar.
“The Jan JanBhojan campaign was started on April 3 and till date has contributed over 1 lakh food packets. Daily two thousand food Packets are given to Chandigarh administration and around another two thousand food packets are distributed to the needy in Sectors 14, 15, 16, 24, PGI, Panjab University and also at periphery areas including, Kachi Colony Dhanas, EWS Colony Dhanas, Small Flats Maloya and Nayagaon,” said Vineet Joshi, Chairman of Joshi Foundation.
“The Deputy Commissioner took round of the community kitchen set up and specially praised the level of hygiene maintained during cooking, packing and distribution of food packets” said Saurabh Joshi, President of Joshi Foundation.
On this occasion, Dr. HK Bali, Chairman of Heart Foundation and an expert on heart diseases, was also present.
