Himachal Mahasabha Chandigarh, a NGO, organized a ‘Chabeel’ in front of Sector 49 dispensary where sweet water, halwa and biscuits were distributed to the passerby.
Giving information about the event, Sanjay Bhardwaj, an office bearer of the organization said that the event started with recital of hymns of lord Shri Baba Balak Nath Ji and parsad was distributed thereafter. Several prominent personalities of the city were present on the occasion.
The program was organized in leadership of Dr. Satish Sharma and the office bearers of the organization including Rakesh Dutta, VK Bali, Bhagirath Sharma, Pirthi Singh, Rajpal Dogar,Vinod Rana, J S Rana, Ravinder Pathania,. Local councillor Heera Negi, Ravi Kant, and BJP district president Devi Singh, Rajender Sharma and Ramesh kaul were also present.
Sanjay said the organization is involved in social welfare programs like aid to economically weaker sections of the society. They organize weddings for girls from poor families and several other such programs.
