I.S. Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21 C, Chandigarh observed the 73rd Independence Day with patriotic fervor at its premises. On this occasion a cultural show, a patriotic programme and a skit were organized. Students took part enthusiastically in the I Day activities.

The Programme was initiated with the National Song ‘Vande Matram’, followed by Flag Hoisting by Principal, Mrs. Loveleen Bedi and Chief Coordinator, Mrs. Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat.

The students of the school paid a rich homage to freedom fighters through different activities.

Mrs. Loveleen Bedi, Principal of I.S Dev Samaj School encouraged the students to be the responsible members of the nation and urged them to contribute in every noble deed.

Speaking on this occasion, Mrs. Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat said that Independence Day reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the beginning of an era of deliverance from the clutches of British Colonialism of more than 200 years.

The school dedicated all the performances to those freedom fighters who laid down their lives to get Independence. During the event the students also threw light on the burning issue of water conservation. A beautiful message was conveyed through a skit which urged the audience to take a pledge to ‘save water’.
