The North Zone Cultural centre ( NZCC) in collaboration with Rock Garden cultural society organized a musical evening by well known Punjabi and ghazal singer Meeta Khanna at the Rock garden phase III here today.
Meeta Khanna opened up with a invocatory ‘ O lal meri pat rakhiyo’ before doling out romantic numbers mainly immortalized by the famous duo of legendary Surinder Kaur and Parkash Kaur. Be it Shiv Batalvi’s ‘ Meinu Heerey heeray aakhey ‘or KaLEYU RANG DA PRANADA, TOOMAB vajda and more Meeta attempted to follow the legends. Meeta also presented a song ‘ Batti baal ke ‘ by Shamshad Begum and charkha mera rangla by Chitra Singh. She also rendered folk numbers and many more songs on request BY THE sUNDAY CROWD .
