Botany Department of Grade A Accredited (CGPA 3.52) Post Graduate Government College for Girls. Sector-11, Chandigarh, organized an Inter-College Online Declamation contest on research oriented topics i.e Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Trees, Recombinant DNA and Ozone, which are of immense importance in present Covid-19 scenario. Declamation competition helps to enhance participant diction, stage presentation skills and boost their confidence.
The competition was held in Undergraduate and Postgraduate categories. Around 100 participants of five different colleges of Chandigarh, DAV-10, PGGC-11,PGGCG-11,MCM DAV-36 and SD college took part in completion and they were assessed at different levels before the final of the event which was held for two days(June5-6, 2020) on the eve of Environment day.
Principal Prof (Dr) Anita Kaushal congratulated the winners and participants. She hoped for a better future post Covid times. She appreciated the efforts of the department and observed that such online activities would help in engaging the students constructively.
