Indian Council for Cultural Relations under the Administration Control of Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India formulated a cultural exchange of 11 member Teachers delegation from the Ministry of Education, the Republic of Mozambique who visited the portals of DAV Model School, Sector-15 A, Chandigarh. The Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma welcomed and appreciated them for their endeavour to foster and strengthen the cultural relations of their country with India.

The students garlanded them and put ceremonial tilaks. The delegates, primary teachers of classes 1 to 5 visited the classrooms of primary sections, observed the teaching Methodology and various activities being conducted in the classrooms .They participated in the pious Hawan ceremony, performed their cultural dance and interacted with the children in the classrooms.

A special assembly was conducted in which students organized a plethora of activities – Speeches, Articles, Poems and Songs. They gave information on World Heritage Day that falls on 18th April. Ongoing activities of Earth Day were undertaken by the students that would be culminating on 22nd April in the School.

A Powerpoint presentation was shown showcasing the common features between India and Mozambique- related to peace and strengthening of ties between two countries. They were also given gifts as a token of love by the school Principal. The event ended on a positive note.
