Akali- BJP Government didn’t do anything in last 10 years for the development of Punjab especially in the Ghanaur area. The development was only in the papers and files. But now under the leadership of Captain Amrinder Singh the Patiala district would witness the new era of development.
Considering the need and demand of over 3000 students of Aryans and residents of around 25 villages, the Alampur –Nepra-Thuha road leading to Aryans Campus would be widened soon. This was said by MLA, Rajpura, Sh. Madan Lal Jalalpur while inaugurating 2nd day of Youth Festival at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh.
Renowned Punjabi Singer & actor Ravinder Grewal, Sara Gurpal, Geet Gambhir along with other star cast of Dangar Doctor performed live on second day and enthralled the audience with his hit numbers.
Among the winner teams of Giddha- Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Khalsa Girls College, Morinda stood 1st, Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh sahib stood 2nd, Government College, Dera Bassi stood 3rd. In quiz competition Govt College, Dera Bassi (Mohali) stood 1st, Pine Gaurav College of Education, Fatehgarh Sahib stood 2nd, University College, Chuni Kalan stood 3rd. in clay Modeling- Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh sahib bagged 1stposition, Smt. Jawala Devi College of Education, Fatehgarh Sahib bagged 2nd position, Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Khalsa Girls College, Morinda bagged 3rd position. In Rangoli- Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh sahib stood 1st, Chandigarh College of Education, Mohali stood 2nd, Jawala Devi College of Education, Fatehgarh Sahib stood third. In on the spot painting competition- Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib Stood 1st, Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh College of Girls, Morinda stood 2nd, Dasmesh Khalsa College, Zirakpur stood 3rd.
Dr. Anshu Kataria congratulated the participating students and the winner teams. He encouraged the students to come forward as such festivals build self-esteem and confidence of the youth. Their creativity is developed and honed in these competitions.
Renowned Bollywood Actor, Darshan Aulakh; Hollywood actor Neil Bhallinder; SHO, Shambhu, S. Kulwinder Singh; Young leader, Sh. Gagandeep Singh etc present on the occasion were also honoured.
