The Central Government has increased the powers of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. Local AAP Party leaders Chandramukhi Sharma and Prem Garg has reacted sharply to the central government’s decision of increasing the powers of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. He said that the Central Government is trying to establish its control over the functioning of the elected government of Delhi. Sharma said that the Central Government, which had lost the Delhi Assembly elections thrice, is now trying to run government in Delhi from the back door. He said that similar hurdles were being put in the past as well. Only after the Supreme Court has explained about rights, the Delhi government has been taken its decision. He said that now everything is being repeated to follow the same again. If the Delhi government wants to do anything, the Lieutenant Governor will put obstacles in it.
Chandramukhi Sharma and Prem Garg warned that the central government can do the same thing in Chandigarh and other states after Delhi. He said that his party will strongly oppose this dictatorial attitude of the Central government.
