An event and a marathon is being organised on 30th July in form of a tribute to Shaheed Udham Singh in relative to his martyrdom day, which is dedicated to the children fighting with cancer.
Dr. Sanjeev kamboj founder of Udham Ngo and other members Dr. Baldev Thind, Ad Sumit Handa, Bobee Singh, Sandeep Kaalas, chairman of Bhawan society Jarnel Singh , Harinder Jony, Sahil, Atul, Sukhman told that a disease like cancer is spreading in our country and specially Punjab is being majorly affected. Many poor people and children die of it because they cannot afford the expenses of the treatment. They told that Udham Ngo is working from last 7 years in extending a helping hand to the poor and helpless throughout north India in form of emergency blood donation and financial help for needy kids and poor people who are not able to afford their treatment. That is the reason this martyrdom day is dedicated to cancer fighting children. These kids will then be the chief guests of the event and will be the special appearance for the marathon also.
Dr. Sanjeev said that on 30th July the youth of north India will be joining at 2pm to 4pm at Udham Singh Bhawan, sector 44-c , Chandigarh and after that around 5pm a marathon will begin from the parking lot of rock garden which will finish at the Sukhana Lake. Cultural programs will be the part of this event and during this program, people will be requested to come forward and help the cancer fighting kids so that they can lead a normal life like others.
