A no non-sense guy, he is very determined to solve every crime with sincerity and diligence. In conversation with Aditya Dev.
- Making your comeback with comedy again, is that by choice?
- I am a witty man and I love comedy which comes very naturally to me. Even if I had an option of shows with various genres, I would still choose comedy. I just wish that the stature of comedy are taken more seriously like the rest of genres because I believe comedy is a serious business.
- You are working great with comedians like Johnny Lever. How do you feel about it?
- Johnny Sir is an institution of comedy for all the actors. He has his own style in comedy and I don’t think anybody in this country can copy his style. But it’s going to be a real fortune getting a chance to work with such a big actor and a comedian of India cinema. I feel lucky to be the part of this show where I am getting to learn so much from actor like Johnny sir and Asrani Sir.
- How would you describe your character?
- Aditya is stylish and intelligent police officer who tries to nail all the crime happening around and completing the project given to him. He is highly trained in all combats. He is in constant loggerheads with Manav (Kiku sharda). So my entire fight is to cope up with Manav.
- Did you face any challenges for this role?
- The preparation is still on for me because this is something which I have never done before. In my previous shows on Sony SAB, I was the one who use to bring comic element but in this show I won’t be carrying any comedy element. I play a stylish and a macho cop who works by his ethics. We are also inventing this moustache which I will be carrying on my face.
- Since you play a policeman in the show, have you encountered any hilarious situation with police in real life?
- Yes, I recollect an incident where a policemen caught me while I was eating and driving while going for a shoot. He stopped me and asked for a fine saying eating and driving is not allowed. I was like I have heard drinking and driving is not allowed but not about Eating and driving. I understood a new law that day.
- Who is your Partner in crime in real life?
- My dad and my sister are my partners in crime. In Mumbai it’s my sister, we are always together so she is majorly my partner in crime. If there are bigger things I keep my father my father becomes my partner.
Tune in to Partners- Double Ho Hayi Trouble premiering from November 28th, Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm only Sony SAB!
