Milkfed has obtained strip based technology developed by NDRI Karnal for rapid detection of adulteration in milk of Sucrose, Glucose, Hydrogen Peroxide, Neutralizer, Detergents, Maltodextrine & Urea. These strips shall be made available at grass root level to check the adulteration in milk.
These tests are very simple and rapid to conduct. It is pertinent to mention here that Milkfed Punjab & its affiliated Dairies Procure milk from Milk Procurement Co-Operative societies in the state of Punjab. The availability of these strips at the society levels will ensure that only pure and non adulterated milk is procured.
Speaking on the occasion Manjit Singh Brar, Managing Director, Milkfed Punjab said, “We at Milkfed always strive to deliver pure and quality products to our consumers. The strip based technology will further help us to procure only the quality milk for processing and further use.”
