Minerva, popularly known as The Factory, has made it to the finals of the Pre-Subroto National Football Tournament for U-14 boys. Minerva Public School beat Vidyashilp Academy 8-0 in the semi-finals to take a step towards the title.
In the semi-final played in Kochi, Minerva started aggressively and started making moves for the goal in the first minute itself. In the second minute, Thiyam scored the first goal and in the sixth minute he gave the team the second success. Sanathoi scored in the 9th minute and Mahesh opened the account in the 13th minute. Mina Cup star Thiyam completed his hat-trick in the 18th minute and Anurag scored in the 23rd minute. By half time the team took a huge 6-0 lead.
In the second half, Vidyashilp Academy tried to make a comeback but could not succeed. Minerva Public School also scored two goals in this. Sanathoi scored in the 34th minute and Tokchom scored in the 44th minute to seal the victory for the team. Minerva advanced to the final with a huge 8–0 win.
Also won the last league match:
Earlier, Minerva Public School defeated Hiranandani School by winning 6-0 in the last league match. Victory star Sanathoi scored a hat-trick. He scored in the 14th and 17th minutes after scoring the first goal in the fourth minute. Azam (in the 7th minute) scored a goal, while Anurag’s kicks brought two goals in the 16th and 20th minutes.
