On the occasion was Mother’s Day, Nari Jagriti Manch, Chandigarh under the leadership of  Neena Tiwari, President of the Manch, felicitated more than 50 elderly mothers of the city in a unique way.

On this occasion, elderly mothers were applied tilak, given necklaces, suits and saris and many gifts, and by offering special prayers, and a 94-year-old mother cut the cake on the occasion.

“It is said in our Vedas that the status of a mother is higher than even God, all the wealth of the world on one side and mother’s love on one side, yet mother’s upper hand is heavy. The loving lap, compassionate heart, soft touch always provides a protective shield to our children. Such is the mother. We cannot count their contributions in our lives”, said Neena Tiwari, President of Nari Jagriti Manch, said this to the attendees during Mother’s Day at Shri Hanumat Dham, Sector 40B.

On this occasion, the students kept the audience captivated by presenting colorful programs.

During the program, some elderly mothers also shared their experiences here, which were appreciated by all the audience; they appreciated the efforts of Neena Tiwari. Others present were Ranju Grover, Pal Sharma, Premlata, Usha Sharma, Sudarshan Sharma, Alka Joshi, Kumud Tiwari, Sunita Anand, Darshana.
