Aryans College of Engineering (ACE), Chandigarh organised a national seminar on the topic Eco Sensitive Development in Science and Technology at its campus. Students and staff of various branches of Engineering including CSE, CE, ME, ECE, EE, EEE participated in the seminar.
Dr. Harmesh Kumar Kansal, HOD, UIET Chandigarh; Dr. Ramesh Dogra, Former HOD, SD College, Chandigarh; Er. Satinder Pal Singh, Project Head, Bechtel Gurgaon; Er. Supreet Singh, Assistant Professor, Chandigarh University, Gharuan etc were the speakers present on the occasion. The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by the guests.
Dr. Harmesh kansal enlightened the students about green energy and its use, nanotechnology and its future applications. Kansal motivated the students to fill the gap between the academics and industry by having clear ideas in their mind and to be practical enough to survive in the dynamic and competitive era.
Dr. Ramesh Dogra talked about various pollutants and their effect on environment and health. He insisted the non usage of polyethene and remedies to degrade the polyethene by changing its properties. He also highlighted about balanced diet to live a healthy lifestyle. He motivated students to actively participate in Swacch Bharat Abhiyan.
Er. Satinder Pal Singh shared his views on the use of thermal energy and other practical inputs to be the future of engineering projects. He explained various facts and insights for the set up of power plant.
Er. Supreet Singh highlighted the applications of surface engineering in various disciplines. He gave practical examples from mechanical, civil and electrical fields and urged the students to apply the academic knowledge in practical life. He discussed importance of material science concept for engineers to increase the effectiveness and efficiency.
