NIPM Launches Student Chapter in Amity Business School

National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) Punjab Chapter has launched Students’ Chapter at Amity Global Business School, Chandigarh. NIPM Punjab is a professional body of HR Managers, covering states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, J&K and Chandigarh. The chapter was launched at a function held at Amity Business School, Sector 67, Mohali.

“The First Student Chapter of NIPM in the region will lead to bridging the Industry Academia Gap and expose the aspiring students to new management techniques and many more benefits which will unfold as we move along”, informed Mr. SP Bansal, Chairman of the Chapter.

Dr. Madan MS Aulakh, Vice Chairman of the chapter welcomed the dignitaries and also gave a brief on the importance of the forming of the Students chapter.

Mr. SP Bansal – Chairman of the Chapter, in his inaugural speech – expressed his delight at the formation of the Student Chapter and thanked Dr. Shivali Dhingra – Director Amity Global Business School Chandigarh for giving the opportunity to do so. He also highlighted the key points of the Student Chapter and appraised the Students of the functioning and benefits of the Student Chapter. He also assured the students of all help in acquiring new management knowledge and made mention of conducting various programs for their benefit over the year.

Dr. Shivali Dhingra, Director Amity Global Business School, Chandigarh in her address highlighted various features of the Students Chapter as well as making mention of making it a model chapter. She enthused the students to take benefit of the collective knowledge pool available from within the Chapter and learn all that would be required for them to become great managers of the future.  30 Management students were inducted as new members of the Student Chapter which would have its own executive body. Each student was presented with a NIPM Badge at the ceremony. Dr. Babita, Head of HR Faculty would be facilitator for the Chapter.

Dr. Som Saini, former Chairman of the Chapter, Fellow of AHRI and leading HR Expert, who was the Guest of Honour on this occasion, gave a motivating talk on Stealth Leadership and shared his vast experience on how to succeed in corporate world.

The program was well attended by Faculty members, Students and NIPM Executive members, Mr. SB Khullar, Vice Chairman, Mr. A K Bakshi, Honorary Secretary, Mr. Ravinder Chadha, Hon Treasurer and Mr. SPS Bhalla, Senior Member made it lively by their presence. Mr. AK Bakshi Hon Secretary of the chapter presented a vote of thanks and assured full support to the Chapter to make it a Model Chapter.
