The Moti Ram Arya Sr Sec Model School, Sector-27-A, Chandigarh organized a special lecture on 5th August 2017 in the school on the importance of ‘ SWACH BHARAT ABHIYAN which was launched by the honorable Prime Minister Mr Narinder Modi ji on 2nd Oct 2014.The lecture was delivered by Dr Satinder Kaur, she encouraged the students to keep their surroundings & personal space clean. She asked every one to contribute in their own small way and support this campaign. Big celebrities on have also support this cause. Personal hygiene also plays an important role in maintaining cleanliness. Dr. Satinder also informed the students that toilets have been constructed in school & public places and programme to eliminate open defecation has also been started. The students were also taught about how to manage solid liquid waste. The students were taken out for a field demonstration and they actively participated in this activity and cleaned the school surroundings. The students took a pledge to donate two hours per week to support the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and make it successful. The Principal Mrs Saroj Savant also motivated the students to not litter their surroundings & maintain hygiene. The NSS Incharge Mrs Meenu Sood guided everybody to be a role model for this campaign & take initiative to change the environment.
