The members of College Students’ Council of Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh were administered the oath of office by the Principal Prof. Anita Kaushal today. A total of 50 members took the oath. The elections for the Students Council were held on 6th September, 2018; and Ms. Garima Garg was elected as President, Ms. Kanchi as Vice-President, Ms. Pallavi Sharma was elected as General Secretary and Ms. Harman Kaur as Joint Secretary of the college. Along with the office bearers, the oath was also administered to the Class Representatives of under-graduate and post-graduate classes of arts, science and commerce streams. Vice-Principal, Prof. Nirupama Luthra was also present on the occasion.
Congratulating the members of the Council on the occasion, Principal Prof. Anita Kaushal motivated them to assist the students in redressal of grievances. They should shoulder the responsibility with courage, and sensitize the students and community on issues like sanitation, environmental conservation and women-centric concerns. They should play a key role in maintenance of discipline and cleanliness on the campus, and they would get all possible guidance and support from the college administration, the Principal assured.
