Punjab defeated Tripura by 9 wickets in Col. C.K Nayudu Trophy 2021-22

Punjab State U-25 years Men’s Team for Col.C.K Nayudu Trophy 2021-22 played their first Inter-State match for Col.C.K Nayudu Trophy 2021-22 against Tripura at Karnail Singh Stadium, New Delhi.

Tripura won the toss and elected to bat. Batting first Tripura bundled out for 111 in 35.1 overs in their first innings. Arjun Debnath scored 38 runs off 25 balls  with four boundaries and three sixes was the main run-getter for Tripura. Gurnoor Brar claimed 3 wickets giving away 32 runs and Aryaman Dhaliwal took 3 / 39 were the most successful wicket-takers for Punjab.

Replying, Punjab scored 148 runs in 52.1 overs in their first innings. Abhinav Sharma scored 42 runs off 99 balls with three boundaries and one six, Gurnoor Brar scored 30 runs off 68 balls  with four boundaries and one six and Sanvir Singh scored 30 runs off 43 balls  with four boundaries were the main run-getters for Punjab in their first innings. T R Mandal claimed 5 / 54, A S Sarkar 3 / 22 and Arjun Debnath 2 /45 were the most successful wicket-takers for Tripura.

Tripura in their second innings was bowled out for 97 runs in 35.2 overs. Sridam Paul scored 24 runs  off 47 balls  with five boundaries and A A Sinha made 25 runs off 42 balls  with four boundaries and one six were the main run-getters for Tripura. Aryaman Dhaliwal took 6 wickets for 54 runs, Gurnoor Brar took 2 /19 and Sanvir Singh 2 / 4 were the most successful wicket-takers for Punjab.

Replying Punjab has achieved the target and scored 64/1 in 12.7 overs and won the match by 9 wickets. Vishwa Pratap Singh remained not out 36* off 44 balls with eight boundaries and Abhay Choudhary scored 20 runs off 27 balls with four boundaries were the main run-getters for Punjab. T R Mandal took 1 wicket  for 14 runs  was the most successful wicket-takers for Tripura.
