Rajinder Singh Badheri mourns death of former Punjab Minister Gurnam Singh Abul Khurana

On the demise of former Punjab Minister Gurnam Singh Abul Khurana, eminent Sikh farmer leader, President of the Chandigarh unit of the All India Jat Mahasabha and National Delegate of the Mahasabha, S. Rajinder Singh Badheri has expressed deep sorrow. May God give him abode at His holy feet and give strength to the family to follow His will.

In a statement issued here today, Mr. Badheri said that the demise of Mr. Gurnam Singh was a never ending loss not only for his son Jagpal Singh Abul Khurana, a Congress youth leader active in Langi constituency, his family and friends but also for the entire Punjab.

Mr. Badheri said he was an old acquaintance of the Abul Khurana family. He said that S. Gurnam Singh Abul Khurana was elected Congress MLA from Lambi constituency in 1992. Beant Singh had made him Minister of State for Panchayats in Punjab.

Mr. Gurnam Singh Abul Khurana is survived by three sons and a daughter.
