Mahila Sunderkand Sabha, Chandigarh tied a life-size seven feet long eco-friendly rakhi on the wrist of 32-feet high Lord Hanuman statue amid chanting vedic shlokas on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The statue is installed at Sri Hanumantha Dham Temple, Sector 40. The event was organized under the chairmanship of Neena Tewari.
On the occasion, the meeting Nina Tiwari said that it took 15 days to make this magnificent Rakhi for Lord Hanuman. This beautiful eco-friendly rakhi was made from thermocol, coloured paper, ribbons, and artificial flowers etc.
On this occasion, Neena Tewari wished that all countries are soon free from the corona epidemic, and congratulated the people on Independence Day and reiterated her resolve to make the city polythene free.
Others present along with Neena Tewari included Ranju Grover, Prem Lata, Pal Sharma, Sudarshan Sharma, Usha Singla.
