The Narrators Performing Arts Society, India in collaboration with Chandigarh Group of Colleges(CGC) is organizing the RenukaRama Women Achievers Awards at the CGC campus of Landran in Mohali on Monday – March 4 at 1130 am, to mark the upcoming International Women’s Day.
Dr. Gagandeep Bhullar, Dean Student Welfare, CGC, Landran, Maj Harjit Singh Aulakh (Retd.) , Director(Administration), CGC, Landran and Nisha Luthra, Founder and Director, The Narrators shared details about the event at a media interaction held here.
Nisha Luthra said, “The purpose of the function is to honor some of tricity’s talented women. Instead of women achievers from outside the region we thought of recognising some gritty-women of steel from tricity.”
Nisha added that Professor Alka Kansra, poet, professor and writer; Archana R. Singh Poet, Professor and Writer; Jas K Shan, Motivational Speaker, Wellness Leadership Coach, Entrepreneur and Energy Therapist; Sonika Sethi, author, poet and associate professor of English; Manjinder Gulyani, Associate Professor, Institute of Law Kurukshetra University will be honoured to celebrate the notable achievements of these extraordinary ladies. “These are the women who have broken the stereotypes and made significant contributions in their respective fields. Through a unique blend of ‘musical interludes’ and storytelling to shed light on their true stories, their life narratives will be brought to life on stage in a powerful and engaging way,” said Luthra.
Dr. Gagandeep Bhullar, Dean Student Welfare, CGC, said, “We always look for unique ways to motivate our students to strive for an education which extends even beyond the classroom. This is the reason why we are organising a prelude function to International Women’s Day at the CGC campus which will be in the form of a creative Women Achievers Award ceremony.”
In the media interaction it was informed that the main attraction of the program will be the musical program of famous Sufi singer Manmeet Kaur. Manmeet’s soulful tunes will serve as a powerful medium for the stories of women’s achievements, enhancing the emotional resonance of each story and creating a truly immersive experience for the audience. Aman Sohal will enhance the entire experience with the magic and tune of his flute. Aryan Kaushik will accompany him on guitar.
Nisha Luthra said that storytelling is an art that should stay with the audience for days after the story is told, hence the Women Achievers will be felicitated in a unique way.
Maj Harjit Singh Aulakh (Retd.) , Director(Administration), CGC, Landran said that Dr Ranjana Malik, President Army Wives Welfare Association; Manraj Grewal, local editor of The Indian Express in Chandigarh; Sarita Khurana, nutritionist, food writer, cookery expert, Zee Khana Khazana fame; Bittu Safina Sandhu, Poet, Writer Entrepreneur; Ravi Pandher, writer, social worker, political strategist, child counselor and Nimrat Gujral, Director, INSCOL Healthcare will be present at the function. These women will add to the glory of the program.
Young entrepreneur and designer, Ishani Dhiman will present her collections for young students.
The master of ceremonies for the event will be Mr. Rajesh Athreya, his unique voice will make you stop and think. The team of Rajan K Batheja, Divya Sharma, Lokesh Choudhary, Rekha Mittal, Nirman Joshi, Harjot Luthra, Manika Mahajan and Shweta Yadav will ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
