The Commerce Department of DAV College , Sector 10,Chandigarh and Enactus organized an impactful self-defense workshop, led by celebrity trainer and self-defense expert Mr. Suraj Kabir Verma and his team. The workshop aimed at equipping students, especially young women, with practical self-defense skills essential for their personal safety.
The event, overseen by HOD ,Dr.Sarika Mehandru Chhabra along with Teacher In-charges Dr. Shruti Marriya and Dr. Sumit Goklaney, began with an energizing warm-up session, followed by one-on-one guidance provided by Mr. Verma. He demonstrated essential techniques to handle various threatening situations and shared safety tips tailored specifically for female students.
Mr. Verma stressed the importance of self-defense in daily life, highlighting its empowering effect on individuals, especially in real-world situations. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students sought further insights on personal safety strategies.
The initiative was well-received, with students praising the hands-on training and valuable information shared. This collaboration between Enactus and the Commerce Department raised awareness about personal safety and emphasized the significance of self-defense in modern society.
