National Yogasana Sport Federation (NYSF) in association with Haryana Yog Aayog, National institute of sports (NIS Patiala) , Haryana Yogasana Sports Association, Punjab Yogasana sports Association and Chandigarh Yogasana sports association organized a National Conference today on 7th June 2022 at UT Guest House Chandigarh on the topic of Future and Development of Yogasan Sports. Dr. Sanjay Malpani , Vice President, NYSF discussed about the traditional value of Yogasana Sports , he mentioned that a milestone is achieved by entering in Khelo India but to be included in Olympics games is still a big dream yet to be achieved , for this every Yoga organization has to work hard to achieve this dream.
Dr. Sapna Nanda, Principal Govt college of Yoga Education and Health, Sector 23 Chandigarh shared her views that every Yoga enthusiast should associate himself with NYSF for better opportunities.
Dr. Chandrakant Mishra, Head of Department Yoga, NIS, Patiala, said that proper training of coaches is important for players to do well in the game. Members of State Yogasana suggested that financial support should be given to district associations, mass insurance to athletes, introduction of Yogasanas competition for specially abled individuals.
Parallelly World Yogasana & Asian Yogasana also organized a Yogasana sports meet of Asian stakeholders today through Hybrid mode. Pujya Swami Ramdev ji Maharaj graced the conference as the chief guest through online mode. Smt Manjushree Dayanand, Director Sports authority of India and Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Director of the Centre for Yoga Therapy Education and Research (CYTER) Were honorary guests. Mr. Udit Sheth, President of NYSF was also present. Dr Sanjay Malpani, Vice President NYSF participated as a keynote speaker. Members from different parts of the world like the United Kingdom , Canada , Japan, South Africa , Vietnam, Spain, Qatar, Turkey Joined along with members of State and district Yogasana associations .
Swami Ramdev ji Maharaj explained that Yoga is only Non-violence based sport with an ultimate goal of internal harmony, a feeling of wellness, Happiness and peace. He also mentioned that it is important to specially train the judges and coaches for a better future of athletes. Swami ji appreciated the efforts of Dr. Jaideep Arya, Founding Chairman of Haryana Yog Aayog, Secretary, World Yogasana Sports association , Dr. Jaideep Arya shared his future plans to sponsor international children interested in Yog for their yoga studies and other activities for the development of Yogasana federation , nurseries etc.
Smt Manjushree Dayanand, Director Sports authority of India emphasized on the technical aspects of Yogasanas world championships. She said it is very important to make a Standard operating procedure (SOP) which includes standardization, like use of automated system by judges for marking and scoring, upgrading of training of trainers (ToT), standardization of music, communication for system for publicity and marketing, artistic yoga and parameters for world and National Bodies of Yogasanas.Dr. Ananda Balayogi discussed the importance of a model for television publicity of Yogasana sports. Mr. Udit Sheth presented a presentation on the Development and Future of the Yogasanas sports. He presented the roadmap and budget to all stakeholders’ countries of the world.
