North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India) organized ‘Sham-e-Ghazal’ by Shri R.D. Kailey at Navrang Auditorium, Bal Bhawan, Sector 23, Chandigarh on October 13, 2018 at 06.30 pm onwards.
Sh. R.D. Kailey began the programme with Tulsidass beautiful bhajan Gopal Gokul Vallabhi Priy which got a lot of appreciation. Thereafter he recited Dushyant Kumars Mein Jise Odhata Bichhata Hoon; followed by Ved Diwanas ‘Khushk Aankhein Ho Gayin. He won the heart of audience with Mirza Galib & Bahadur Shah Jafars Hazaaron Khawhishein Aisi. After that he recited Ashq Ambalavis Baat Ko Apni To Dushman Bhi Nibha Dete Hain, Agha Bismils Mehfil Mein Baar Baar Kisi Par Nazar Gayi’. He ended the programme with Nawab Vazid Ali Shahs Babu Moraa Naihar Chooto Hi Jaye, which received a lot of applause. The audience enjoyed a lot and Sh. R.D. Kailey received a lot of applause for the ghazal presentations. Sh. R.D. Kaily was accompanied by Sh. Mahmood on Tabla, Sh. Surinder Singh on Guitar, Sh. Satwinder Singh on Octopad, and Sh. Gurvinder Singh Lovely on Keyboard.
Prof. Saubhagya Vardhan, Director, NZCC, Patiala honoured Sh. R.D. Kailey and his group with bouquets in the presence of other dignitaries.
