Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation organized the 109th ‘Anna Bhandara’, or community kitchen, on the auspicious occasion of Navratri in Industrial Area- 1 of Panchkula under the stewardship of the foundation’s founder and social worker Amitabh Rungta. During the Bhandara, Anupama Rungta, Chaitanya Rungta, Pragati, Sukhpal Singh, Suresh Jangra, Nidhi Sandhu were especially present with him, who provided special support in distributing the food among the general public.
While praising the Mother Goddess -‘Mata’ and highlighting the importance of organising Anna Bhandara during Navratri, Amitabh Rungta said that nine days are dedicated to the Mother Goddess. These days, organising a Anna Bhandara in remembrance of the mother Goddess brings happiness and prosperity in life of the person organising the free food distribution to the needy . He said that Anna Bhandara defines humanity and other individuals and even organisations need to come forward and hold bhandaras so that everyone can become partners in this work of humanity.
