Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in association with strategic partner Tax and Trade Services organized a workshop on “GST 2.0 – Deliberations on Implementation of 47th GST Council Recommendations “at Western Court, Sector 43, Chandigarh.
CS Sanjay Malhotra (an eminent Indirect Tax Expert), who was the keynote speaker shared recent amendments notified as per 47th GST Council meeting recommendations. He shared that continuous improvement at GST portal by GSTIN has made tax compliance easier for taxpayers. He also appreciated the grievance mechanism put in place to address the concerns of trade across Chandigarh Zone by Chief Commissioner Smt. Aruna Narayan Gupta [IRS].
FICCI honored Sh. Vikas Kumar [IRS] Principal Commissioner, Ludhiana for his remarkable contribution/achievements in Central Excise / GST. Sh. Hardeep Batra [Commissioner-CGST Chandigarh shared his views on measures taken by Chandigarh Commissionerate, CBIC & GST Council to make compliance easier for trade. Other Guest of Honors for the session include Sh. Kumar Gaurav Dhawan [IRS] Deputy Director-PGIMER, Dr. Kundan Yadav [IRS] Additional Commissioner CGST Chandigarh and Smt Anju Sheokand [IRS]. State GST Officers Mr. Hamid Ganai, Smt Heena Talwar interacted with trade members, resolved their grievances and assured to put forth the trade suggestions with CBIC.
Trade members appreciated the Taxpayers facilitation and knowledge awareness session organized by Ludhiana Commissionerate on regular basis.
Sh. G.B. Singh Regional Director-FICCI, Chandigarh has given warm welcome to the Members from CGST Office and Industry. He shared that CGST & SGST officers have always been supportive to implement the suggestions given by FICCI.
Young moderators Ms. Kanwalpreet Kaur and Ms. Ritika Malhotra shared about 5 years of GST- Mix of success and struggle. Sh. Chander Verma [President- Chandigarh Business Council] & Sh. Saurav Goyal Director-Saurav Chemicals Limited extended vote of thanks to all Industry Members and Senior Officers from Central & State Goods and Service tax.
