Alankar theatre with the assistance of dramebaaz theatre society is organizing a three day street play festival SARAABOR from the 20th to 22nd of January at sector 17 plaza. Various teams from the nation are coming together with their performances with the unique motto of- why compete when we can celebrate. Along with the street plays there would be poetry sessions, theatre talks and media sessions. The festival will be inaugurated at the Punjab Kala Bhawan on the 20th at 10 am. A few promotional events including street plays are currently being held throughout Chandigarh for the same. The festival is designed by Nikhil Modi, member of Alankar theatre under the guidance of Chakresh Kumar, the group director.
