A tree plantation was organised on 20th August 2019, in DAV college, Sec- 10 Chandigarh, under the aegis of Jal Shakti Abhiyan, Government of India.
The tree plants were sponsored by Medical Institute Branch of State Bank of India. The ceremony was initiated by our esteemed principal Dr. Pawan Sharma along with the NSS program officers. He congratulated the NSS team and volunteers for the drive and highlighted the importance of trees for the environment. The team planted 20 trees in total all over the college campus. Dr. Suman Kapur, Teacher Incharge said, “The event was a milestone towards environmental conservation”. Ms. Rekha Rani, Teacher Incharge said, “Such events organised by the NSS committee of DAV college set an example for the students and citizens alike”.
