Ankur School, Sector- 14, organized the closing Ceremony of its Annual Sports Meet. Mr Baljit Singh Saini, Asian Cup Gold Medalist was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr Arun Kumar Grover, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Prof Neera Grover, President, School Management Committee and other Management members were also present on the occasion. The Cultural programme began in a traditional manner with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati by a group song “ Sharda Vandana”. Dr .Parminder Duggal Principal of the School read the Annual Report of the School . The children of classes 5th and 6thenchanted everyone with their beautiful rhythmic Gymnastics performance. Energetic Kalbeliya dance was appreciated very much for the swift moves. Traditional Gujrati dance” Garbha” displayed excellent coordination among the children.
The students took part in various sports events like Long Jump, High Jump part in , Shot Put , Tug of War , 100 Mtr Race, & Relay Race. The best house trophy was won by Tulip House house. The best Sportsman Trophy was given to Anuj of class 6th & Rinky of class 10th. The Cultural programme concluded with the electrifying Bhangra performance. The Chief Guest, Mr Baljit Singh praised the students as well as the staffs for their hard work and unstinted efforts for the successful organization of the event.
