Government College of Commerce and Business Administration Sector 50, Chandigarh organised its 7th MANAGEMENT & IT FEST “YUVCLIQUE 2019”. The ceremony was organized by Management Club ‘Gestione’ and IT society ‘Tech-Infomatics’. It was inaugurated by the former Principals of the college, Prof Dr Pahlad Aggarwal (Former Deputy Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration and Founder Member and Former Principal GCCBA 50, Chandigarh) and Dr Bhupinder Singh (Former Principal GCCBA 50, Chandigarh). They were felicitated for their immense contribution for this institution. Renowned academicians and Principals of various colleges from Panjab and Chandigarh graced the ocassion. Dr. Manjit Kaur, Principal, GCCBA 50 Chandigarh, welcomed the guests and participants.
The two days fest had plethora of events including Literary events, Fine Arts events, Cultural events, IT events and Fashion Show. The highlights were Rap Battle with singing, Ramp Walk, Tik Tok, Logo Designing, Face Art, and Flower Arrangement. To develop the creative interest of the students some innovative competitions were introduced and spread over these two days such as gaming activities like FIFA 19 (PS4), Pub G Mobile, Movie Making, LAN wars, Pitch the Investor, Khayal-e-Alfaaz (Shayari), Ekaki (Monologue) etc. Students showcased their versatility, creativity and dynamism.
The fest attracted a huge crowd comprising of students, alumni, teaching faculty and special guests from Colleges/Business Schools of tricity. On the first day, there was a Rock and Fusion band performance by QISSA. They enthralled the audience with their performance during the fest. The special attractions were RJ Geet from 94.3 My FM who anchored the ramp walk. Her questions and jibs added flavour to the event. Mr Mir Ahmed Khan and Ms Ishita Kaith of GCCBA-50, Chandigarh were declared Mr & Ms YUVCLIQUE 2019. Chandigarh University was declared the first team in the ramp walk followed by GCCBA as second winning team in the same event. On the concluding day a special artist night was organised at the end wherein upcoming singers Gavy Virk, Zaildar, Simar Kaur, Garrie Dhaliwal showcased their musical talent followed by Live show by Saajz the Superboy. RJ Shatabdi of Red FM hosted the artist night and entertained the audience with her wit and humour. The audience enjoyed their performances and the fest ended on a gala note.
Government College of Commerce and Business Administration Sector 50, Chandigarh (GCCBA ) the host college was declared the Overall Best Team Yuvclique 2019 as it bagged the maximum prizes.
