The much-anticipated Virat Cup Table Tennis Tournament concluded successfully today at the Table Tennis Hall, Sector 23, Chandigarh. Organized under the leadership of Chairman Virat Dutt Chaudhry, the event witnessed intense competition, exceptional skills, and sportsmanship across various categories.

In the 69+ Singles, D. P. Dutta secured first place, while P. C. Sardana took second. The 59+ Singles saw Jawahar Bhandari claiming the top spot, followed by N. K. Banga. Bobby Mehta emerged victorious in both the 49+ Singles and 39+ Singles, with Alkesh Saini and Munish Nepali taking second place in their respective categories. In the 59+ Doubles, the duo of D. P. Dutta and Jawahar Bhandari clinched first place, while N. K. Banga and A. K. Moudgil finished second. The 49+ Doubles category was won by Alkesh Saini and Bhupinder Verma, with Umesh Rajpal and N. K. Banga as runners-up.

The Lucky Doubles (49+) category witnessed Sanjeev Aggarwal and Munish Nepali securing first place, while Anu Sharma and Deepak Sharma came second. In the women’s categories, Rama Kakkar and Sukhwinder took first and second place, respectively, in the 45+ Singles, while Anu Sharma emerged victorious in the 35+ Singles, followed by Shally Dhawan in second place.

The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony where winners were presented with trophies, and all participants received gifts. Chairman Virat Dutt Chaudhry expressed his gratitude to the participants for their enthusiastic participation and promised an even more exciting tournament next year.
