A Virtual Workshop on “Social Entrepreneurship: Swachhta and Rural Engagement” was conducted by Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE: Ministry of Education, Govt. of India) in association with SESREC (Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhata & Rural Engagement Cell) Cell of PGGCG-11 and Botany Department. Over 500 students registered for the workshop.
Mr. Aditya Raj, the resource person shared his wide knowledge of Social Entrepreneurship with the students. He focused on the vision of SESREC and shared case studies associated with SESREC. He urged the students to participate in various national level competitions being held periodically. The session was very informative and interactive. The participants discussed and shared their ideas with the resource person. The students were encouraged to use their creative skills, and submit their innovative ideas and projects on themes of relevance.
Prof. Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college applauded the initiative of the SESREC Committee, and congratulated Prof. Pardeep Walia, Coordinator, and Dr Vishal Sharma, Head of Department Botany. She motivated the students to make fullest use of the information provided during the Workshop, and be innovative in their future endeavors.
