In the ongoing 5 day integrated yoga and ayurveda wellness camp under RUSA scheme being organized at Govt College of Yoga Education and Health, Sector 23A on the 3rd day today Vyas Pooja was organised to commemorate and to recalibrate the Guru-Shishya Parampara of ancient Indian heritage. The special guests of the occasion Dr. Arvind Diwedi, General Secretary of Bhartiya Shiksha Mandal, who gave insights about the new education policy and Professor Rajesh Jhamb, Treasurer, Bhartiya Shiksha Mandal, who gave his valuable views about the importance of Guru Shishya Parampara and the ways to follow the same.
The sessions of the camp are being convened by Smt. Shyam Priya, a well known Lokayurved key Catalyst in the field of health system. In her talk, she gave a brief introduction about the dincharya or the daily regime to be followed for general fitness. The second session related to shatkriyas was taken by Ms. Anupma, Yoga Instructor, GCYEH. Speaker Smt. Shyam Priya spoke about the ritucharya or the seasonal know-how according to the various seasons of the year. She also told about the various festivals in relation to the Indian ayurvedic system.
The next session was taken by Dr.Mohinder Kumar, Yoga Instructor, GCYEH and Harish, student of PG diploma in Yoga Therapy which was about the basics of pranayama. The sessions on day 2 and day 3 were attended by around 90 participants.
