The Department of Botany and Botanical Association of DAV College Sector 10 Chandigarh organised a webinar on “Career Opportunities in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants for Agri-Entrepreneurship” on 7th May, 2021. The keynote speaker Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Principal Scientist, CSIR Central Institute for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow apprised the students about the various career opportunities in field of medicinal plants and how skill development in the areas of aromatic plants could make youth self reliant.
Dr Pawan Sharma, Principal of the college thanked the speaker for enlightening the students about the career opportunities in field of plant sciences and lauded the efforts of Department for engaging the students by organising such talks during the times of pandemic. More than 100 participants joined the webinar.
