Aiming to fecilitate academics and research especially in the lockdown phase, library of DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh organized a webinar on effective utilization of e resources through JGate. Around 100 participants were connected to from different parts of the nation. College principal Dr. Pawan Sharma too joined in this webinar. In his address, college principal said that learning in the time to come will primarily be tech enabled. He highlighted the fact that digital libraries will become the repository of data and information. Adding to it further he said that e-content will rule the mode of learning. College librarian Deepti Madaan motivated the connected participants to remain positive and active while acquiring innovative ideas and skills. She stressed upon the need of organizing such Webinars, especially in the prevailing times, when studying and working from home has become a necessity. Mr. Ajay Sahay the Manager Training (J-Gate) – North from Informatics Global and handling Training division for entire North India was the keynote speaker. He apprised them on how the research work can be simplified with databases with special focus on j Gate, steps to create User Profile, how to discover articles for research, Journal Rankings and so on. All the connected participants expressed their curiosity by asking queries to enhance their research skills.
